Onwards with the metal rhythm realm!!! 1) As you all pointed out, I used less gain this time(around 10 o'clock) 2) Gabriel wanted me to try something more difficult and the truth is I pushed myself to have this take! But I really liked it! 3) I tried to use more dynamics on this one

Gain loss made a lot of good for your tone - especially the crunchness of palm muting. At 0:45 you need to recheck the timming of this bend -you start it too early. At 0:49 -0:50 you should keep holding bottom strings while playing arpeggio. They should ring out together. You can also improve the tone of final raking. Try to push a little more of pick tip into the strings and pull it up harder, so we could hear there are more strings involved and we could clearly feel the percussive effect.

Main issue here is the timing. you are not 100% confident yet so you tend to delay the strokes/strumming comparing to the drums. Refering to your previous takes over other lessons, I'm sure it's something you will easily fix.

Overall it's a really good work!

Hi mate,

This lesson is a good choice for you at this moment. I note that your tone is much better now so it's been wise to adjust drive level. I also can hear that you are now paying some attention to dynamics when playing rhythm. This makes your take sound much more organic and live. Well done!

As Darius said, the main problem here is timing but it can be related to the fact that you still are not comfortable with the different parts, and maybe thinking on many things at the same time. You need to continue practicing to make the lesson feel more natural for you and be able to play everything tight with the backing track.

You are on the right track, just keep on practicing!

George, this is very good, my friend. This lesson requires a lot of attention to detail and you often have to change between palm muting and no palm muting which is an essential skill in rhythm playing.

You manage this very well. Your palm muting technique is very tight and crunchy whilst still allowing the chord flavour to come through. Well done!

The only thing to need obvious and immediate work is timing.. isolate the problem areas in the middle & end of the lesson and focus on them for a while
