so.. I have a midi bass track in reaper . Bias Fx has a bass rig that I can play bass through , however when I added it to the midi file there is no sound. Does reapers midi play bass or is there another player I need , a setting I need to change ?

You need a bass guitar vsti (vst instrument) first, then you can apply bias fx on that bass.

Here's a freeware list, its been a while but I remember 4front bass to be a very low download size and usable sound quality (not too terrible smile.gif )

This is the GOLD STANDARD of all VSTs IMHO. It's just the best of the best. If it's in the budget, it's well worth adding to your tool kit!

Trillian is the standard by which all the others are based. It's not free but if it's in the budget it's worth it imho smile.gif
