I was listening to Jason Becker's "Perpetual Burn" today (actually I'm still listening to it), and I thought maybe we could have a thread with guitar music albums that are great.
Here you have a couple from two very talented guitar players from the 80's:
And as a bonus something more modern and less shred:
Maybe a rule here should be no singing/lyrics allowed
Great idea and great albums!!
One of my favorites ever:
Brad Paisley made a mostly instrumental album, and it is full of amazing licks and phrases!
Still play this sometimes. We should get some Shadows lessons on GMC.
I think if you play this one, even if it is showing as the length of one track it will auto play the next. Check it out.

Great thread Of course, it would not be complete with out TONY MCALPINE's album "MAXIMUM SECURITY" which features a host of guest solos from some of the top players in the game at the time. See if you can hear them when they go up against tony in the guitar duals that run through the album.
I must say, fine pull on the initial post. Those two albums are part of what sent me off on my quest to shred
Great one by Tony! I could see him live a few years ago and he played many from this album!
Another classic!!
I had forgotten about that BLUE SARACENO album. Thanks for reminding me!! Another classic guitar record. The late eighties were the Golden Era of this type of guitar rock record imho. So many great things came out right at that time. Another killer album that same was from GREG HOWE.
I've got that awesome Blues Saraceno album, it's awesome. I've got an album that is brilliant, I think it has a bit of singing on it but the track "Paradise Drive" is brilliant. I can't find it anywhere but here is the Amazon link if you want to investigate. I'll try to get an MP3 of it up if that's allowed.
