Hi Chris! Welcome to GMC and congrats on your first REC take!

It's true that there are some techniques that require more work, but the overall balance is positive. You can play the whole solo at tempo, tight and clean. Your alternate picking and sweep picking technique look and sound good here.

The main problem here is your bending and vibrato techniques. As you've noticed, the pitch of your bending is not precise and your fingers don't look comfortable most of the times. On the other hand, vibrato is not consistent and most of the times weak and unnatural.

For practicing bending and vibrato, I recommend you to give a try to this lessons:

Hi Chris, welcome to the REC Zone!

On first listen, your take is quite good and pleasing enough to listen to.

The minor issues at the moment are bending but because the bends are slow in this track you're 99% accurate with these. As you say yourself, they're a weak point so GMC will test you with some more bending lessons, don't you worry!

Vibrato is minimal at the moment so Gabriel is right to pick up on that. Vibrato is essential to lead guitar so that's another 'must do' to add to your list.

Your hand movement is generally good but I would try to avoid moving to the next note before picking it because it sounds quite sloppy in my opinion, like at 0:21. Try to move to a note only when you need to and pick it at the same time otherwise you end up with 2 separate notes. This may come down to personal taste but it always sounds a bit amateur to me so try to have a think about it.

You don't hit the correct high note on the arpeggio so perhaps you need to improve your finger reach?

Hey Chris! Congrats on your very first lesson take You bending is not so bad at all. Those could be a bit more in tune but the point you have at the moment is very close. I believe in your good hearing that will be best visible when your hand will allow you to do what ears say is correct

I have a feeling there is slightly too much gain though....it helps to capture some of your left hand muting problems (unwanted strings comming out in the background).

Timming need some more time - more confidence on where to place each finger through all the take. It nothing else like more practice on the same lesson - as long as you'll feel you don't have to think where those fingerrs should go, and keep all the focus on dynamics and timming
