As promised, here is a sound-test of my new Tweed Deluxe with me playing the same old licks.....
Guitar is recorded straight into the amp with no eq in the DAW and just a little reverb & delay added....
I was supposed to do a longer version with just guitar and me speaking, but it got so boring when I watched it,
so I left it out this time..... tongue.gif

//Staffay

EDIT: in the last part I kick in a "TS"-sound from my BOSS-OD20 though.... forgot to mention that, otherwise the guitar is just straight into the box....

Nice big warm sound you got their! The amp produces a nice attack which I'm sure adds to the dynamics. Congrats on your new baby, she is a looker smile.gif

"Think of a guitar solo as a paragraph. You need a clear beginning, a middle, and an end. Look at musical phrases like sentences, and make sure you break them up using punctuation—or space. You pause naturally when conversing, right? If you don't, you'll bore the listener. The same thing will happen with your audience if your solo is one dimensional. You'll wear them out and lose their attention." —Tom Principato

Thx all! Yeah, it really produces a very warm sound and also cracks-up very nicely giving that SRV-style of sound which was the one I was really after, even that it may not be obvious in the vid. But I will use it further on, so I guess there will be some more sound samples as well as a WIKI-review. The only drawback here is that it might be a little weak for stage use since I like to play pretty loud.... so I guess I have to order another one with stronger transformers and tubes... tongue.gif (he also does that, as well as bassman-type amps, he has a configuration with 3 12'-inch speakers that is very interesting....) Now I will also change the Eminence-speaker in my Blues Deluxe to Weber since I ordered an extra one... These speakers are soooo smoth and takes away the rough attack often found in Fender-amps. (even that this sound is also good, especially for comping stuff)

Aaaah man, I smother away in insignificance, when I see all your guitars, your amp, pedals and recording gear.
Not to mention your playing which is simply amazing!
But onto subject, that is one hell of an amp! I hope it will serve you well for many years wink.gif

Thx Adrian and Djohnneay. I started out to do a spoken demo with just a condensor in the room in order to capture the sound how I hear it.... but it failed due to my speaking (I talked to much, so it got 10 minutes long before I was half-ways into the demo.... so it got boring) Maybe I will have another try, or just simply post the sound-samples.....

Ok, no probs Adrian. I will try to put some "dry" clips of just guitar up in the next couple of day's.
I paid bout 10.000 DKK for this, which will be equal to 1350 EUR. Compared to the prize of Victoria amps (and similar)
and Fenders own reissues this prize is really a steal.....

Now the mumbo-jumbos:

7-25 W (depending on the tubes)
Point-to-point soldered
Mallory condensers
Heyboer transformer
Carbon resistors
Weber British Blue vintage speaker
Philips Miniwatt prea-amp tube (I got some other as well, since switching the pre-amp tube change the character of the
amp completely and You can easily get the amp to distort a lot more by just switching it....)
RCA power tubes
These tubes is OLD, Philips stopped making the Miniwatt in 1962.....
Special cables that is out of stock, but Lars have some left....
For all components goes that they are really the best available and no compromises is done

The amp features 2 channels that can be connected together like people did with Marshall's in the old day's....
The first channel is a "Tweed" channel that has more of a mid-range sound similar to a Marshall/Tweed.
The second one is a "Blackface" -channel that has a dip in the mid-range to produce that 60's -twin sound.
Of course You have the option to customize it to Your own specs, but Lars strongly suggests that it should be made
after playing the amp for a while... (no businessman here... smile.gif )
He also builds other kinds of Fender-clones and a model of this with stronger transformer/tubes as well.
You can easily see what he is doin at www.larsreinau.dk (You have to translate it with google though...)
