Actually, a POD may be ideal for you in your situation.
You can use it with headphones so you dont need an amp. The sound you hear in the headphones though will sound like you have a GREAT amp. As for volume levels through an amp - that is down to the amp - the POD is only a tone shaper - so it makes the sound - the amp is what makes it loud. If you have a seperates HI-FI the POD also comes into its own as you can plug it into that amp , or any hi-fi for that matter as it will sound fantastic. (dont try it without a POD though as it sounds terrible!!) So, Yes, a POD would fit your needs on a number of levels. -------------------- its not easy
