Volume Pedal, ???

I am mostly playing guitar on my computer for now. I've found an old volume pedal that I bought a while ago just to make it easier to change guitars between two songs in a gig. You might want some parts of a song, like a lead or a solo, to have a higher volume than your rhythm. Also, you might want some parts to have a lower volume than the rest of the song, like an ambient break. I'm sure most volume pedals also work as express/expression pedals, so you can use them for various effects you might have in your digital rack. Oct 11 2009, 10:14 AM	Learning Tone Master Posts: 3.185 Joined: 22-June 07 From: Germany	Most people use the voume pedal to turn down the volume very quickly between songparts because they would get feedback from the amp if they would just mute the strings; it's basicly the same as turning your voume knob down but more efficeint and faster (hands are free to play) A friend of mine uses his volume pedal to go from high gain to clean! His volumepdal is set on minimum volume when pushed down instead of no volume. He plays rythm and leads with distortion and when he pushes the pedal down the distortion channel cleans up because it doesn't get enough output and you can play clean stuff!
