Make sure to "tin" you wires and the pot connections first. This is the key to a good solder joint.
Apply Flux to the stripped end of the wire, then apply solder to the wire. This will leave a thin coat of solder on the wire end. Do the same to the pot connections. this will fill the holes in the eyelets of the pots. Apply a small amount of extra (small) to the end of the soldering iron (this greatly increases thermal transfer). touch the wire to the hole area of the pot contact and heat both......wire go's through hole ...cools.....perfect solder joint. the end
