Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi Mark! how are you?

I think that you did a good job with this lesson. You can play the whole thing with consistent picking and tight tempo. I notice that the main thing to improve on this take and your guitar playing is vibrato. Your vibrato is not natural, it sounds nervous and the reason is that you start it very soon, you don't let the note sound first, and also because all your vibratos start fast and keep the same speed and width until you change the note. Vibrato should grow gradually in both ways (width and speed) and make it go more natural with the backing. You can do this "nervous" vibrato here and there, but doing it all the time gives your playing an only and not really enjoyable feeling.

Other than that, I think that this is sounding good.

Keep on the hard work!

Hi. This is a really good take here.

Your tone suits the piece very well. Your picking is great. I really like the way you dig into the notes and occasionally cut them off.

I found your vibrato ok. I think it has a lot of potential. Your using all of your fingers so you're not relying on just one or two. Good job.

The main issue I see is timing. In many places you're in front of the beat. Check out the area around 0:31. Also listen to 0:58... you've got some hesitation here.

Apart from the timing issue, I think it's perfect !

Good take and as Gabriel mentioned - most of Your playing aspects are accurate aside from Vibrato. It's happening sort of not natural. I think some point might be Your motion direction - very straight, up and down (that's how it looks). Try to take a very close look at thow some of instructors left hand looks while doing vibrato - it's sort of angled motion.
