Take 2: Alternate Picking Workout #3, Lesson By Darius Wave |

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.
The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Sorry to be back here .. but is it better to learn guitar like this? .. than the classical one! .. I've never played like this before and felt a bit strange but much less tension in my picking hand! ...is that possible ?...along this way .. again very grateful for your advice! Hi mate! There is not a better way, both ways are very used and showed excellent results. I personally prefer this position.

As mentioned, which one of these two popular postures you choose this is a matter of personal preference.
I would say this though - if you are considering making a switch - it is probably a good idea to first establish what kind of problem you are hoping to solve. Otherwise spending time on re-learning might not be wise. It is certainly possible you will sense a difference when picking - as your right arm posture will be very different depending on which one you go for. Btw I think this is a great discussion topics for the open boards, feel free to create a topic about it here. |
