I was wondering if anyone here gets that special "tingling" in the spine when they hear that special music smile.gif
i´ve seen alot of so called "musicians" that play without understanding what music is

for me music its a state of mind when you feel absolutly capable of doing anything, you know? that sound that makes you feel special? that sound that pumps your heart?

one sing i love to do with music i can is imagine a world where i can do anything like flying etc..
and let the music be a "story teller" .

and when your finaly in YOUR world u go with the flow always keeping the music in your heart

this kind of feeling is not given by comercial music or as i like to call it "cliché" music

im trying to express my self the best i can but words cant tranlate what i feel
you gotta try it your self

one of the reasons i wanna be a good guitarist is so that i can make my own story through my music biggrin.gif

what do you guys feel?

YES YOU TOO INSTRUCTORS let me and the members know what you feel when you compose your music
when you make your own story

cya guys GMC RULES!!! laugh.gif

Satriani really gives me that feeling. If I Could Fly is a song that really speaks to me, also alot of Jack Johnson and Opeth. Its great to be able to really feel the music smile.gif

Not too big a fan off Steve Vai or Joe Satch, but my favorite artists that make me feel emotion are Jason Becker, Marty Friedman, Vinnie Moore, Tony MacAlpine, Symphony X, Yngwie Malmsteen, and some Dream Theater. By the way does anyone here have Time Odyssey by Vinnie Moore? I got it for Christmas and just started listening to it, the first song on the album is one of the most amazing I've ever heard, I also really like Daydream off Mind's Eye. I got Jason Becker's Perpetual Burn for Christmas as well, Altitudes is amazing.

Thats why i love Music, It produces a feeling like no other, like you said, another world where anything is possible. I hear songs like Vai's "Lotus Feet" and "Whispering A Prayer" and my mind is engulfed in wonderous view of a different, and flawless world smile.gif

Mostly female singers singing about pain in some kind of emotional way get me that feeling. And some really cool guitarwork. Fantasy/epic kind of metal. Depends on the mood really though. A sure card for me at the moment is Tori Amos.

I´d like to become so good I could play whatever comes to mind. Then I also could stand on some cliff, wind blowing threw the hair and make an epic solo that shocks the world... or something biggrin.gif
