Marshall - Mg100dfx Vs. Mg250, Opinions please |

Hey guys,
I finally realized that I need a new amp...and I found one for well....isn't guitar stuff always a little more than you can actually afford  Anyway, it's Marshall's MG100DFX....it's a 100 watt amp with one 12 in it. However, I could pay a little more and get Marshall's MG250DFX. It's also a 100 watt amp but with two 12's with 50 watts each. I went and tested the 100DFX and no joke..the tone was amazing...purely. I seriously had to unplug my distortion pedals since the overdrive and distortion on the amp was giving a better tone all around. So, if anyone had/has used this amp....please shine some light my way to which would be a better investment all-around. Thanks. MG 100 MG250 --------------------  |

I don't think the DFX range is good so I'd suggest you buy the cheaper one.

Ive tried out the Marshall AVT 50H. Solid state head but i guess they designed it as a tube sound. Pretty good IMO. Thinking of actually buying it. What do ou guys think bout it?

You can do much better than an MG series for that kind of money. Get a good tube combo like a Peavey Valveking or a modelling amp, for example the Line6 Spider III.
