im really going crazy for this guitar, after i played it in a local music store, and i REALLY want it. the neck is amazing, the sustain lasts forever, and i can finally get a tone i absolutely love. i have a U.S. made Kramer that several people here have expressed interest in, and was wondering what i should do; sell the kramer here and get the RG, or keep it. any advice?

Well, it depends on how well your Kramer plays, plus it's a pretty rare guitar if I'm not mistaken. ANY Prestige serize Ibanez would be great though. It's a tough call man...

it plays ok for my tastes, the neck is a little thick, and the pickups aren't so great, maybe im being a little irrational, but i feel like ive finally found a guitar that is perfect in my hands. the RG is lighter too, which is good, as i suffer from chronic tendinitis.

the problem is, i never have any money. jobs are a dime a dozen up here, as our state economy has been dying for the past few years, and as soon as any jobs open up, they get filled. i refuse to buy guitars online, so thats a problem too. this is a newly released guitar, so i dont know how long they'll have it.

I say - keep the Krammer as a backup - you never know. Wait for a while - you will by that Ibanez anyway.

As far as I can see, its a non-prestige ibanez. I would then rather buy one of the cheaper jacksons, as I think they are better 'player' guitars. An Ibanez prestige on the other hand smokes (I've had an RG2570). For the amount of money you could get from the kramer, Id sell that one and go for a second hand RG550, 2550 or 2570

Yeah, If you want an Ibanez, definitely go with a Prestige series. Wizard neck, Edge Pro tremelo, look awesome. I just looked back over the guitar you have listed there. Don't get it. It might play good, but it has the Edge III trem. It really blows at staying in tune.

Hey man,
I talked to a guy on youtube (satchbooggy, check his vids ohmy.gif ) about his RG2610E
<link> src="http://www.ibanez.com/eg/guitar.aspx?m=RG2610Z" </link>
(I'm going to be amazed if that link works...i haven't done html in forever)....anyways...satch said he sold his 1984 kramer for get this ibanez, and he hasn't looked back.

I was quizing him because I was interested in it. I found a music store that had one in stock, and you guessed it, all my gear (except my nice amp and first guitar) is for sale to get one.

Hope that helps ya....Guess you just can't beat an Ibanez. Took me long enough to realize that haha.

oh man.. Keep the kramer ! I have the RG470 that I just sold it not long ago. It totally sucks. I bet u can't get the same pieces of quality wood out of the Ibanez nowadays compared with Kramer.
