I've just joined GMC for about two weeks now and Kris said to practice with a metronome for every exercise; however, I'm having a difficult time getting use to it. It hard for me to keep it consistance. Any tips on how I can imporove? The biggest trick is to start sloooow ... you are learning a new skill - playing exactly in time - so you should expect it to take some effort. You need to slow it down until you can hit each note in the exercise, in time, for a while without stopping, then speed it up slowly over time. It doesn't matter what your numbers are like compared to others, the most important thing is how much you improve over time, so don't be afraid to dial in a low speed - pretty soon you will be a lot faster! -------------------- Check out my Instructor profile
