Hey Gab's Army members!! I'm starting this thread to share an idea and to know if you would be interested in doing it!
I was thinking that we could create an album that includes one song of each Army's member. It doesn't matter if it's a 30 minutes tune, 1 minute, 3 minutes piece... neither if it's acoustic, electric, electronic. We would work on each track at your own thread for the army. Then we can create a cover art and upload everything as an album to any server where everybody can download our album.
What do you think of this idea?

Sounds like a GREAT idea! I have not ever used drum programming so I'll have to look into that. I do have a bass that I can dust off!

Sounds cool Gabriel. I've been a little MIA from the Army thread (still practicing that same lesson though) but plan to really get going again. My only issue is recording a backing track. I don't have a bass or any kind of drum programming.
Awesome idea though. I would love to hear everybody's songs.

My recording laptop has finally given up, and I've only got a netbook at the moment.

I think I did an ok song (not all done yet).
BUT... the lyrics are hard for me to make.
I wanted to do something serious,
but for now it's just a fun story about,
my feelings for HEAVY METAL MUSIC
(Except I don't have a tattoo)
VERSE:

Now here comes a story about a speciel guy
Raised by a tv you could see it in his eyes

Hi mate! This sounds so powerful! I really like this song! Congrats for your work! It remind me to some Maiden stuff but with a more modern arrangement. The only comment that I have is regarding the mix... I think that the guitars are a bit loud and drums are a bit low in the mix.
Are you still thinking on making this one with lyrics? because maybe with some guitar melodies you could make a great instrumental song. Check out Transilvania by Maiden to hear some ideas...
