Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Original lesson: Beginner's Corner 21: String Bending by Bear Rose

I've been following your recommendations from my last submission and working a lot on string bending to pitch as a prerequisite to developing my vibrato. Vibrato is still a work in progress. My recording is improving too, I got this take after only a dozen or so tries instead of the hundreds on for Metallica for Beginners. There are one or two notes I think I could've picked harder, but overall am pretty happy with this take. Thanks a lot for your feedback.

In deed both - the video quality and the plaing has been improved smile.gif Well done. There are justa few moments of a slight timming issues. Pitch of Your bends is really descent now. Vibrato still look a bit "shy" but it will turn better through time - it's natural smile.gif Great job smile.gif

Hey there mate!

I agree with Darius and in order to add something more - please pay attention to the dynamics - by that, I mean the volume of the notes when playing them. For instance, the note around 0:39 is a bit quieter then the rest, when it should be at the same volume.

Keep rocking!

Cosmin

To be frank, that's a bloody good take. Your pitch is very accurate and your vibrato is decent.

As Darius said, you use a slightly different timing than Bear does on some of those bends but, it must be said, they're not actually 'out' of time, just different.

I think you'd benefit greatly from working on different lessons and / or solos that require more bending and vibrato. Rather than do this one over and over again you should strike while the iron is hot, as they say, and use your skills to work on more challenging, and rewarding, tasks.
