HI Guys i have an squier standart just like this one (it has been hanging out in the corner of the room for a few years) and i want to bring it back to like ... I will install a Pickup DP173BK(bridge ) and an DP172 CHR TWANG KING(neck) or a DP184 CHOPPER on the bridge and somthing else on the neck (still looking for one that will work nicely w/ the DP 184 Chopper .. if i don´t find one i gess i will put the Twang KING ) ..
so the guitar is in a prrety good chape no rust or anything do you think there would be anything worth changing besides the pick ups ( the specefications of the guitar are on the site )
I will also change the pick gard cause i don´t like the looks on this one :S( i´ll put a white one )
BTW : IF i Plcae the DP 184 Chopper ( to get a harder sound of my tele What pick up could i put on the neck ??? ) would another DP Chopper Chopper work fine ??? or would it be better w/ the twang king or another pick up ??

Changing a pickup is always in consideration of the tone you want to achieve. I don't know the quality of your guitar tho, I would probably bring to a luther to get the best adjustement possible.
As for the pickup itself I have put a Chopper184 in my strat bridge position and for now I am really in love with it. I don't know if it would sound good on a tele but acording to the Dimarzio website, the chopper model for the tele is the Chopper DP384, it gives you less twang and more chunk... Maybe this could be good to handle a litlle more distortion.
As for the bridge pickup it depends on the sound you want to achieve. Personally since I like a lot the blues, I would have a neck pickup that reflect the original tele sound. If you hate that sound you can choose another pickup. Personnally I would go for the True Velvet Neck DP177 or the Twang King Neck Dp172.
Buying some pickup is not an easy task because you never know how it is going to sound before buying it.

Crazy_Diamond this really helps a lot =) i want to get a sound that can handlle distortion on the bridge and a more classi tele sound on the neck .. thanks for the tips i will take the guitar to some one for some ajustments ..

Don't expect a heavy metal tone with a Chopper tho.... It is more a rock/vintage rock tone that produce great harmonics.

I know, i just what a bit of distortion on her =) ( for some blues / rock ( early zepplin and stuff like that )
