GMC Forum _ PRACTICE ROOM _ Gmc Lessons On Youtube

Posted by: SinoMan Mar 22 2008, 02:17 PM

Heya guys.

I was just wondering... Are we allowed to post our takes on GMC lessons on YouTube with a link to GMC? Because:

1) playing covers of popular artists might get your account suspended, but
2) my own ideas plainly suck.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks tho! smile.gif

I guess many members need this post a lot,
to be sure if they are allowed or not, copyrights etc.

But since you're playing it by yourself, then I guess it's fine.
As Uncreator said above, there are already some takes from members on YouTube
and I can't recall Kris said anything bad about it.

I think that (good) covers on YouTube would make more people come to GMC actually.

Covering another artist will not get your account suspended on Youtube, people do it all the time. You can pretty much get any thing on Youtube, I watched the entire Rock Discipline DVD, broken down into 12 parts on Youtube for free.

But that's prolly very rare, and I'm not gonna get sued. So let's put some GNR on YouTube laugh.gif

EDIT: Covers, of course.

I don't think you have to worry about that tongue.gif

There's thousands of covers on YouTube! If they banned them all they would be deleting nearly half of all their videos.

Meanwhile you can upload that lesson in the uploads part of the forum wink.gif

Interesting question, it would be very nice to post instructors lesson covers on youtube, but with a tag of the lesson and guitarmasterclass.net maybe. I think that would be cool definitely imo! smile.gif

When I uploaded my take in the Marcus lesson I ask to Kris if it was possible and the answer was afirmative, so I supose that if you put a link to GMC you will be allowed. But ask to kris, he is the boss and he will have the right answer wink.gif
