I have enjoyed this band for a long time. Now that they've replaced one of the guitarists... they sound even BETTER. tongue.gif... They arent the type of music that many people like. Heres a little thing.

Same thing here, I haven't really gotten into their material, but their guitar playing seems pretty interesting. I've gotta check out some more of their music.

Also the singer ( Claudio is his name I think?) has crazy hair! biggrin.gif

I saw them live 2 years ago, they were awesome, very tight band!
And they had some pretty awesome solos, they played welcome home for thier encore and played guitar solos for about 10 minuites after that, Claudio played with his teeth!

for me i used to like all their older stuff, but i dont think i can say that their new cd is all that great. they always had superb guitar material like "The Final Cut" has a ~3 minute long solo in it thats just awesome, and the solo for "Welcome Home" is crazy and all around their guitar is amazing. on their new cd there was 1 song with a solo in it, and theyre hyping it up to that point for like 2 minutes and its not that great. I guess thinking about it i do like a lot of the stuff theyve written on this cd but i dont think i can agree with anyone that says theyre better now.

Definitely one of my favorite bands. I think ever since they had a couple songs on MTV they lost their credibility from many people. They may not be the kind of musicians that people on this sort of site look up to, but I still greatly respect what they've shown me so far.

I just borrowed No World For Tommorrow from a friend, its not as great as the old stuff but i still like it, i hear many people calling them (emo) and what not, franky i don't care too much, there lyrics are written based on a comic book written by Claudio and the story is kinda intriguing.. it was wondering about the story that really got me into the music, its put together really well and speaks to me alot more than some other bands who are more "reputabal". Overall great band tho.. can't wait for your album review Uncreator smile.gif

absolutely... i mean ,the guitar isnt the best in the new CD. but the vocals... and the bass riffs are pretty phenomenal in the new CD. I must admit though, I went back to some of their old stuff... and it is better tongue.gif. I can't wait until i see them live happy.gif.

My friends are obsessed with them, doesnt really impress me that much. The singer sounds like a 14 year old girl scout IMO , but you cant like everything I suppose smile.gif

Yeah, the lead singer sounds like a more effeminate Geddy Lee. They seem to do a little screaming in their songs, and if they did more to offset the almost irritating voice of that one fella, would be fantastic.

The arrangement seems vocal driven, which I'm not a huge fan of. Could be the lousy quality of a Youtube video though.

If nothing grabs me about a band on a first listen, I don't like learning to love anything. The guitars were obscured by that guys 12 year old girl voice tongue.gif.

I listened to the link and wouldn't be motivated to seek out other material of theirs to check out tongue.gif.
