Did you ever GAS for a PRS Custom 24 but couldn't afford it?

Now is your time!!

Looks like PRS are jumping on the mid-priced train, but doing it in true PRS fashion, and keeping it in the USA, which is nice.

There are three models currently available in the new S2 Series - Custom 24, Starla and Mira, all with a list price of around $1400USD, which is a good deal cheaper than the usual for PRS USA!

More details, specs and pics here: http://sixstringsamurai.co.nz/2013/07/10/p...iced-s2-series/

I've noticed something on their FB page yesterday - who knows, if the Romanian dealer brings some in, I could talk to him about a video review smile.gif I would sure like that biggrin.gif

Now, it seems that the economic happenings have probably hit their wings as well and they decided they should make some more people happy smile.gif

PRS has been trying to get into the more affordable range for a while, hopefully it works out. I have a PRS McCarty model, which is an amazing guitar, but it cost an arm and a leg. Hopefully the more affordable versions of these guitars will catch on and they'll produce more of them down the road!

I talked to the dealer today and he said exactly what I thought - they have received the offer last morning - it's a series that means to get the folks that would love the USA guitars but can't quite afford those. Finally when the noose tightened, they have realized how important it is to get that niche.

Anyway - I decided I dislike that the top is not rounded as the normal USA series smile.gif But, that is probably one of THOSE differences tongue.gif If they sound good and if they feel good in the hands, those are the most important things wink.gif

Yeah I agree, the bevelled top makes it look a little cheap. But I guess they wanted to make some distinction from the PRS SE line which only have flat tops.
