Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Original lesson: German Power Metal I: Helloween by Gabriel Leopardi

Maybe is not the right guitar to play Helloween (but my "old" strato is the only one i have right now!) and definitely not perfect (YET!!), however here it is! Cheers!

Good take my friend. You played the opening part really well with nice, staccato riffing and palm muting. When the main beat comes in you were a bit light with the palm muting. In some places I can't hear any muting at all so try to keep it chunky !! smile.gif

The lead part could be a bit tighter but overall your performance is strong - well done !

Hi mate!! This is a good take. The two things that need some adjustment are your palm muting (as Ben described) and a bit your timing since the overall lesson could be tighter. Concentrate on this two details and you will have a flawless take. wink.gif

Strong take man! I like it and I think that over all, the ensemble is good, but you still need to practice this a bit more just to be nail all the details. it's just a matter of well spent practice time - focus on what Ben and Gabe have already said and you'll have it under your thumb wink.gif
