Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hello mate! I see that you have re-posted the take and that's a very good thing, but taking things one at a time, you are not respecting the phrases as Emir is playing them.

For instance, at 0:07, you are missing some of the notes and this issue appears throughout the whole take. My suggestion to you would be to take each part of the lesson and listen to it until you memorize it thoroughly. Try to sing it with your voice (no worries, you don't have to record that biggrin.gif) against the original guitar recording in each part, so that you may be sure that you are conscious of the timing and phrases and you are not missing notes.

Then learn it on the guitar. Things will come far easier, because you know the phrases. You will just be using a different instrument to express them. Play each part slowly against the metronome, focusing on all the correct note lengths and rests. Try to bend up to the correct pitch for each note that has a bend, k?

After putting all the parts together, practice the whole track at slow speed, focusing on everything you have done above. Raise the speed until you reach 100% of the tempo then post it here and raise the volume of the guitar some more mate smile.gif

Hope this helps and keep on rocking!

Cosmin

Yep...this time will hear the guitar smile.gif Cosmin haven't left to much to add...damn smile.gif Do You have a possibility to synchronize backing track with the metronome of any DAW (cubase, reaper, protools, audacity...etc)? As for the timming when You play longer notes of melodic phrases it's very important to be focused and try to hit the string at the latest possible moment - You know...it's like shoting the ducks...You don't shot where the duck is on while flying but You try to target the place it would be when the bullet goes through the distance. It's bit simialr with playing. - You have to focus on than tiny, precise moment where the stroke should be smile.gif Any question? PM me smile.gif

Hi mate! Now the mix sounds good! Thanks for redoing the take. smile.gif There are two main problems on this one, the most important is timing. As Cosmin said, your phrases are not respecting Emir's lesson. The other big thing to work on is your bending technique (check at 00:17, 00:35, 00:42). Also I can note that your guitar is a bit out of tune, always remember to check your tuning before you start a new take.

So my suggestion is to take each phrase and practice it slowly using guitar pro or backing tracks until you can play it tight. And also start working on this lesson for improving your bending technique:
