I just busted my thumb sparring today. With a girl that weighs about 70 lbs less than I do lol... bring on the hate, Ben and Christian This is why you should wear proper gear when doing pad work, and especially heavy bag work. It wasn't that bad when it first happened, but then I decided to continue with the rest of the training, which included more sparring with bigger opponents, and heavy bag work. This just made it worse and worse. This is why its bad to have an ego. Its my right hand thumb, which is on the hand I throw retarded punches with. Its pretty painful to be honest, but thats not whats bothering me. Pain is just weakness leaving the body. The problem is now I can't pick or strum, but I still want to practice. What should I practice now that one hand is useless? This really bothers me because its my right hand technique that needs the most work. Plus, I just started learning "A National Acrobat" by Black Sabbath, which is a really fun song to play. Advice? l * e * g * a * t * o and now is a good time to join the other thread about learning the notes on your guitar. Oh, and there are a few activities guitarists should avoid - let's see here - chainsaw juggling, smashing your fists into objects? I dunno, might just be me, but um... -------------------- The more I practice, the more I wish I had time to practice!

So what would be some arpeggios I could play with only my left hand? I guess you could play 3 string per string arpeggios as long as it doesn't involve barring the same fret |

RE: Legato - Heres my thread with Alex Mudbone if you want to start doing that too.
