Dear friends,
This is quite a difficult post for me to write, but I have decided to leave GMC.
My schedule is getting quite busy, and a growing stack of unfinished projects made me take that difficult decision.
I have learned a lot and enjoyed working at GMC for the last 2 years and a half. I will always remember my time here and will miss being part of such a talented staff.
I'd like to thank Kris for giving me a chance by hiring me as an instructor.
Thank you to my fellow instructors, you have been such an amazing influence in my playing!
And most of all, thank you who are reading this. I have made real friendships here and know that my departure does not mean that I am closing the door on the relationships I have established here. Don't hesitate to keep in touch via email and thanks for everything that you are to me!
Much love,
David
David, good luck with whatever you decide to do. A stack of projects is always a good thing to have, just don't let it get you down I usually don't respond to these kinds of posts, people come and go, but you've made a really big impact here and I've learned a lot from your lessons Thanks. And don't be a stranger, stop by the forum now and again.
This is sad news David, although we must all make choices at some time in our life! Your lessons have been inspirational to me and really helped my grasp onto Modal applications.
I wish you well in all your future projects and hope that you will be back at GMC one day!
I know I won't be the only one who will want to express their thanks for all your amazing lessons here!
Thank you!!!
I wish you all the best with everything that you do my brother,
it has been an honor and pleasure to work here with you side by side,
will stay in touch for sure, God Bless.
This has sadened me since the day I got the news from you. It will feel very empty here without you, and to say that you have been a good guy to work with would be quite an understatement.
I wish you best of luck with your projects and musical career, and I hope that one day we will be able to do that song collab we have spoken about...
/Kris
One of the reasons I joined GMC was that I was influenced by many instructors with great talent and techniques
and one of them was you,David.
I would really have liked to have you here in GMC but I guess it cant be.
As the other guys said come in the forum sometimes when you have the time.
Good luck with whatever you plan in the future
Good luck bro! I've enjoyed any interaction I've been involved in with you. God's speed!
This came as quite a shock to me. I felt sad when I read this David. Hope your projects and other things you got going will turn out great man. All the best to you!

I'm really sorry that you are leaving!...
But I would still like to wish you good luck with all of your future plans,
and hopes everything works great for you... Which I'm sure it does
I have really enjoyed the last few months with you as my mentor in the MTP.
And I of course hope you could stop by GMC to just say hello sometime.
Cheers ... and good luck!
David, you are a great instructor and a nice guy in person. I wish you luck in your music career!
Man, this place is gonna miss you lots. You're an inspiration to many, including myself and you're not just a talented musician but a talented teacher. I'm sure I don't just speak for myself when I say that your lessons, collaborations and interaction in the forum have been of the utmost help to me to improve as a guitarist and overall musician.
I'll just have to make sure I pester you on facebook and the likes

Let me start by wishing you luck for your future endeavors. I am sure you will continue to serve as a talented and gifted musician wherever you step your foot.
But, I must say that this is truly a sad news. Everyone at GMC has learnt a great deal and will keep learning a great deal everytime we practice your lessons.
YOU WILL BE SURELY MISSED AT GMC!!!! I HOPE WE HAVE YOU BACK HERE SOMEDAY.
Thanks and Regards
SF
Sorry to see you go David but of course I wish you well in whatever you do.
In the year I jhave beed at GMC I have always seen you as one of the foundations on which GMC is built.
Though I'm still at beginnerish standard I have always been drawn to your lessons as you always have a great sense of melody in your playing.
Best wishes.
Nothing to add to the previous posts... sad news indeed.
Good luck for your project, David.
As said before, you can always access to the forums, if you want
Good luck man !
Keep up the melodic from the heart playing, it's wonderful and tons of people will agree with me!
Thanks a million for everyone's warm messages!
Sad news David - you have for sure been an inspiration to me with your thoughtful modal studies, and have helped to shape GMC into what it is today.
All the best for the future - I for one am still waiting for the follow up to "Deep Inside the Mind" (which I am listening to as I type!)
Don't be a stranger!
Oh, this is sad news indeed. I wish you all the best for your current and future projects and I am looking forward to see you in Switzerland next year.
A very sad day indeed. David, like many have said before me you are a huge inspiration and will be missed greatly here at GMC. I wish you all the best for the future and I hope you will still pop in on the forum every now and again.
Au revoir mon ami!!!
rok
Sorry to see you leave. You're an inspiration to many both with your playing and great attitude.
Good luck with your future projects and I hope you'll soon run out of them and return back here
All my best!
Sorry to see you go David, all the best to you on your future endeavours.
This is the first bad news since I joined. The fact that you and Muris were here made me curious about GMC in the first place. I first saw you in Dean Shredder Search and I enjoyed your playing since. I am sure I will hear about you in the future. Good luck with your projects!
Thanks a lot for all the lessons, I`m sure gonna miss your phrasing which is one of the best I know
Good luck with your other projects, god bless
OK this is going to corny, but David here it goes:
Ok, everyone together!: " YOULL NEEEEEEEEEEEVEEEEEEEEEEER WAAAAAAAALK ALOOOOOOOOOOONE"
Oh man, sad news!
I wish you find success in your future projects man, and to find happiness as a musician and human being. Very sad to see you go, I hope one day our paths will meet again.
PS If you ever come to Serbia, email me. I will be honored to welcome you and show you around!
Best of luck. Sorry to see you go.
I remember when you first arrived.
You have always been a help to me and everyone else on the site.
Thank you so much for everything you have done
Without actually knowing it, you are the most popular instructor on my REC list ! I have learned so much from you, and whenever I need help with technique or theory, your lessons have always been very thorough, especially your spoken videos !
You are one of the reasons GMC has become what it is today, and if you in any way decide to come back, know that we will always miss you, and welcome you with open arms. Sorry for making your departure more challenging, I just want to tell you how much you mean to so many.
Que vous ne trouviez que de bonnes choses dans l'avenir. Vous possédez le talent et la gentillesse pour réussir dans n'importe quel aspect de la vie ! Nous nous verrons à bientôt, j'espère.
Alex
This is sad news indeed. Being, in my opinion, one of my most valuable instructors here on GMC, it is sad that you have to go, but life takes us all in various directions. Best of luck with your future, and I hope you'd come by in a spare moment

Its very sad to see you go David, I too was around when you joined and remember being blown away by your metalhead lesson! I remember seeing your modal lessons fly by and they were responsible for sparking an interest in music theory so you've helped me come a long long way!
Good luck with all your projects, especially the sequel to "Deep Inside the Mind" which i hope to hear <very> soon
Jord
oh what great sadness and such sorrow.. and what a very selfish thing to say of me..
I am sure you've been thinking long and hard about this, so i will just say that i've learned a lot from you, and i've loved your lessons.. there are a lot of them "sticking" out, and the first lesson i ever did on GMC (or should i say tried) was one of yours..
Come to think of it.. the last one i did was yours as well..
So i guess what im trying to tell you is that you've been an inspiration and always a joy to learn from and listen to and i wish all the best to you and those close to you..
Dont be a stranger though.. even though you wont be active as an instructor, we will still allow you to post as much as you want here..
Take care buddy, we'll definately miss you..
Oh noooes! Man what a bummer! Good luck to you though and hopefully you will check in from time to time. I've almost mastered a few of your early lessons and will still be submitting them to REC. New lessons from you will be missed.
Oh so sorry to hear this David! We'll be missing you here a lot! I wish you all the best for projects in the future...
This is very sad David! We will really miss you here!
I want to wish you all the best in the future project and hope to hear about you frequently!

Gabriel.
All of luck David. I will miss you very much.
To me you are one of the persons that have been very important to GMC. Your presence have set standards for the community here on GMC. You are a big part of why GMC is a nice place. I don't know you but as with many here I consider you a friend. I wish you the best in life.

I'm a newbie around here, but don't get me wrong - I've been following what's been going on in GMC for at least a year or two by now, even though I only just registered here.
I've watched many of your lessons, Mr. Wallimann, and I've definitely grown fond of your style of doing things here. Your lessons are top-class, and I definitely believe that you were, and still are, one of the most skilled guitarists in GMC. I hope that you will succeed in whatever you are doing right now and in the future. I believe that you will - because it takes an iron will to become a great guitarist like you. A will like that will definitely benefit you in life's other tasks, too.
Reading this news made me sad but hey - life goes on. Keep working hard!
I'll surely learn all your lessons. Every single one of them. Just wait!
-Kristian Hyvärinen

Thats really sad news David, but of course I understand your decision. All the best for the future and thanks a lot for many many great and inspiring lessons.
