Hey guys! How are you? I would like to share a cover that I re-corded. It's a song by Pappo, a blues guitarist who has been one of the biggest guitar heroes ever in our country and nowadays he is a legend.
In 1973 he edited his album Vol 3, and this is a song from it. I did this just for fan, as a tribute, and also to experiment with my voice. Please tell me all your thoughs about the version, my interpretation, the mix. Every comment is welcome to keep on improving.
I used the following gear and software:
Fernandes Monterrey Guitar
Pod HD500
Samson C01 condenser mic
M-audio
Cubase 5.0
Trillian (bass)
SSD 3.5 (drums)
Izotope Ozone and many Waves plug ins.
Pappo with BB King:
Awesome Gab!!! You have a perfect voice for that style...Your rock/blues guitar of course 10+!!
Sounds awesome! It was really fresh to hear you singing Gab, I enjoyed it a lot.
Hey gab, pretty cool cover I really enjoyed listening
Also I'd like to encourage you to mix your vocal (compared to this track only) a little more upfront+natural.
If I had to say a negative thing I'd only say you aren't using the best mic. to match your vocal color. Its hard to give any mic. advice as this is an adventure in itself and takes time (+the end choice is usually a surprise ) but just keep this in mind the next time you're in a studio and have some free time
Ha ha What a nice vocals Sometimes when I listen to covers like this I know how people feel while listening to a polish lirycs What a cool solo
Fits like a glove! Congrats man! And those Alice in Chains style vocal harmonies are amazing You should make a video!
