GMC Forum _ GEAR & PRODUCTION _ Podxtlive After Or Before Efx Pedals

Posted by: Tomas Santa Clara Jan 25 2009, 03:45 PM

hey guys

after most of my cables died on me a few weeks ago i decided to unplug the pod from the efx loop of my amp

now i have only the option of putting it directly onto my amp

should it come before the normal stomp boxes or after?

and should i set the pod to "norm" or "amp" and should i turn the pad switch on?

If you use your POD as a multiFX unit mate, it may be a good idea to buy a couple of new cables. Until then you can put it in the front depending what other pedals you have. In general, put wah, compression, and distortion/OD stomps in front of a POD, and if you plan to use POD distortion/modelling, put modulation and echo effects after the POD.

If you have active pickups you should turn the PAD switch on, if not you should keep it off.
