Hey Gab,

I've followed your playing on GMC or several years now. Thanks for the opportunity to talk!

I've been playing for about 12 years, 4 of those consistently ~ an hour to two per day

My favorite guitars are Paul Gilbert and some of Pavel's early stuff

Favorite bands include Iration, Pepper, and A Day to Remember

In 5 years I'd like to see msyelf playing and singing songs for family and friends, and able to hold my own in a jam session

I can play guitar for at least an hour most days

I played live a few times. Twice for different bars, the third was a paid gig

My strong points are alternate picking, playing fast, and experiene with most techniques.

My weak points are staying in tempo, varying the rhythm hand, composition, improv, and learning songs all the way through.

I know very little on music theory... I have ttempted to learn the circle of fifths a few times, and know the C major scale up the neck.

Yes I can record videos.

Here are two:
Acoustic cover w/ vocals:
Electric guitar:

Hi Dale! Thanks for your info and videos!

We need to organise a plan that covers both technique, and theory for improvisation and composition.

I would like to see you playing this lesson since it includes many different techniques in a musical context and it can be a our reference to monitor your progress.

What do you think?

Regarding theory, I think that it could be a good idea to work on my Improvisation Course, starting with module 1:

Module 1: Major Scales

1. Major Scale (Shapes, sequences & arpeggios)
2. Pentatonic Major Scale

and read this to expand your knowledge:

4. What Are Intervals and How to Write Them Out (Beginner)
5. Exploring Major Scales (Intermediate)

Let me know if you have any questions.
