I've been recently to a Green Day concert. I must admit that I have never listened to this band much in the past but the show was awesome! I have come to realize that I really like music with this type of simplicity and definition. When I say definition I mean vocals for example - they are very melodic and feel to be composed precisely. Same as with their harmonies. I like bands like these. I should get some Green Day CDs now smile.gif

Some songs seem to be under The Beatles influence?

They sure know how to rock the show, Billy Joe has a real rockstar attitude!

The 3 recent albums were all kinda weak, Tré! being the best of them.

I suggest you listen to their masterpiece "American Idiot", I also like 21st century breakdown. These were the two albums before Uno, Dos and Tré.

And check their breakthrough album Dookie, it has some awesome songs on it and the music was a little bit more raw back then, but still very melodic.

Basket Case is the song responsible for getting me into listening to rock music smile.gif And yes, BJ is a very authentic rock n roll sort of dude and a super dad.. check this out:

Hi!

I´ve seen them in Vienna last week and it was the 4th time that I´ve seen Green Day.
The 1st time was 1994 .

I love their show and the interaction with the audience.
They played the whole Dookie album at this night smile.gif
