Hey monte is there anyway we can put all the stuff we need to do in one area? It seems like its in 3 or 4 threads and it
is easy to miss one. Maybe make a thread with only the stuff you want us to do in it and youre the only one to post in it
so it doesnt get too long.

Also since you have half of us working on the phrygian lessons and half on the lydian lesson, can we do two collabs one for the lydian people and one for the phrygian people? I was thinking since we are studying a different scale it would
be better.

yeah, its all very confusing.... I cant recall what the 2 licks and the constructed solo are really about. And I'm not real sure where to go look at the moment.

I'm sure I could find them, but a 1 stop thread with the details would be helpful.

I think everything is in the ANNOUNCEMENT thread as far as details. If not, I'll put them there and then I'll start a thread for all the Monthly lesson uploads and I'll have Skenny delete this thread. It is kind of confusing...Sorry. smile.gif

Rather than one announcement thread, why not creating a thread for what is due for the week?

Naming the thread "New Assignment Due 3-10-09" ?

I didnt think there was any "weekly" things. Just monthly.

To my knowledge we have to create 2 licks and then write them in GP. I dont remember what thread that is in....

And the composed short solo that we play over the DDEE backing. Which I think we said was a Lydian backing, so I think we are to play something Lydian.... I dont really remember here... DDEE would be in the key of Dmaj too I think. Hell, I dont remember. We move around so much I cant remember this stuff.

I found the "D Lydian March Collaboration"

https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/guitar_fo...st&p=346248

Speaking of the D Lydian collab, I cant find anything that says how long that needs to be. I may have missed it... If I am mixing everyone's takes over the backing we'd need some sort of structure for this yes?

And here is the link to the "Create 2 Licks" thingamajig!

https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/guitar_fo...st&p=347187

I'm gonna post in everybody's thread today and just make sure that we are on the same page as far as what everybody should be doing. Outlaw asked if those working on the phrygian lesson could do a phrygian collab and those working on the lydian lesson could do a lydian collab. I think this is a good idea. What do you guys thing?

Muris said we could use the backings from the lessons to solo over. I have them so maybe we should do that. Anybody against doing that?

Those working on the lydian lesson are already familiar with the backing and same with those working on the phrygian. My assignment from Muris for my MTP is to compose a solo for the Phrygian backing. Why don't we keep it simple and just do this.

Kaz, outlaw, myself and Jesse will compose a solo over the phrygian backing. No deadline....yet.

Dan, Jer and Marek can do the same with the Lydiand backing. I'll post in those respective threads and give you some ideas and what you can do for the solos.

Let's plan on this unless you guys are just dead set against it.

I'll post in everybody's individual threads to make sure that we are on the same page to start the week off. Happy Monday!! wink.gif smile.gif

Its a good thing that the helmet doesnt interfere with your guitar playing.

smile.gif

Monte,

I'd rather NOT use the same backing as the other lesson.

I think it opens up the possibility of using the leads in Muris' lesson as "crutches". You know, already seeing something that works. I like the idea of starting with nothing.
