GMC Forum _ PRACTICE ROOM _ Not So Triumphant Return

Posted by: Andrew6 Apr 8 2010, 07:12 PM

Hey folks,

I've been away for awhile now... About a year last week and I have not played guitar really during this time sad.gif . I got really frustrated and busy so I decided to put it down for awhile which turned out to be a lot longer then I expected. Anyways, I received tickets to check out Megadeth and Slayer in the Summer and listening to them has re-awoken the guitar spirit you could say. I have lots of theory to memorize again but I was wondering where to start on the technical side... This is a youtube vid of Crazy Train recorded today, so any tips or suggestions would be awesome.. Just be gentle I am pretty rusty tongue.gif. Thanks a lot !

P.S Sorry about the quality my laptop is being ridiculous... I still have a local oracle server and stuff running from when I was school so I will have to fix all of that stuff.

Wow man, if that's what you play like when tou are "rusty" I can't wait to watch your new videos after you start practicing regularly again.

Seriously, it was awesome smile.gif

I was checking Your youtube channel few days ago, and wondering what happened to that dude that produced so many cool takes in a short period of time. Welcome back:)

Thanks a lot! I found getting speed and stuff back not too much of a challenge, but my theory and fretboard awareness are pretty much toast sad.gif. I have been getting that ready for a few days now so it isn't totally out of the blue either.
