GMC Forum _ Introduce Yourself ! _ Hey Fellow Guitarist!

Im Aaron, nickname is Azza. Im 15 and from New Zealand. Ive been playing the electric guitar for almost 1 1/2 years.

Been first practicing on my friend's acoustic for a little while with some book out of the library, till he got back into playing himself and wanted it back. Then move straight onto the electric which was given to me later by my uncle and never looked back.

I had an old Fender and Peavy amp, but recently got a second hand but mint condition Les Paul Gibson Standard!
Saved up and purchased a Laney Hardcore Amp and got a Line 6 POD XT for Christmas. So eager to learn a lot more and put it to good use!

I'm into Rock/Metal style music as well as blues rock. Love Metallica, AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Guns N' Roses, Pantera, etc. Like both rhythm and lead solo. Louder the better, my parents have stopped complaining so I must be getting better or they are just getting deafer?

Not to many tutor lessons, so used Troy Stetina books to learn by which have been a real help with my techniques. But don't have too many full songs under my belt. I would say Im probably beginner/intermediate level.

Looking around online, found this site thru good old google and wanted access into it for a while now - placed it in my favourites, following the free Lick of the Day for sometime. Now signed up, there's so much, I don't know where to being!

Would like to improve my speed, techniques and learn some songs.

Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.
