Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hey guys,

here's my first entry for the REC program!

Lesson name: Rocking tune - Beginner (Muris Varajic)
Original lesson: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/solo-guit...-tune-beginner/
Equipment used: Ltd Mh-400 guitar, Cube 60 amplifier and a Canon pocket camera.

The sound of the guitar without the amplifier can be heard in a couple of spots - it is because I can't find a better spot for shooting the video and I can't play too loud because it would disturb my neighbours and Mom. biggrin.gif I really hope it doesn't bother grading too much!

Big, big thanks to everyone for watching and grading!

Kristian Hyvärinen

Edit: The video should work now. Sorry for any inconvenience I might have caused!

Very good! Timing and control is good, but I think you need a better vibrato and bending control.

In general a good take, but as Ivan said your bends definitely need a bit attention. They sometimes don't reach the aimed note, and then everything sounds out of tune. I you eliminate this your playing will improve even more, cause all the rest was pretty good.

Good take, but as you know, there are some thing what you have still to work on.
Try to use slower vibratos and more precise bends!
And in the second part you play a scale with two fingers.
View the original lesson, what fingering Muris uses.
