Hello GMC,
Any advice how to improvise (connect solo's with tapping on numerous strings) I can only tap with one string and switch ( on one string tapping)

Spend time preparing your impros just as if you were writing a lead. I know that's not improv but it helps to develop good habits and passing licks to prepare them in advance..

I would start by singing in your head something, then try to reproduce the line you sang on the guitar. Doing that will give you more vocabulary to use in your improvs. Try also to work on "linking" several licks together. Does that make sense?

He means that you should try and develop your own tune. So, hum or sing something random and try to implement that on the guitar.

On John Petrucci's Rock Discipline he recommends building a repertoire of short licks that you can throw into your improvs.
