Your fender strat that you already own is almost certainly better than the squire.
Your wah that you already own is great. Your equipment list in your signature doesn't list a studio device similar to the POD. Sounds to me like the POD will be the most bang for your buck, and it won't consume the entire $300 budget. Seems like an easy choice to me. -------------------- ::jafomatic

I agree If you need a recording interface pod studios are great. as mentioned above GX is even cheaper with the same audio quality, only difference is the amount of inputs, which don't matter if you only intended to record your guitar and no voice. If you are unsure maybe you should keep saving til you find something you really drool for though -------------------- Guitars:
Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster, Ibanez RG2570MZ, Epiphone SG G-400 Amp: Vox AC4TVH head + V112TV cab Effects: Vox Satchurator, Vox Time Machine, Dunlop CryBaby, Boss MT-2, Boss CE-5, Boss TU-2, Boss ME-70 Recording: Line-6 POD X3 + FBV-Express, Pandora PX5D GMC wants YOU to take part in our Guitar-Wikipedia! i would keep saving for something else, or, i would get an audio interface for your pc and guitar rig, i think that's a better investment than the pod

If you can't record , POD Studio UX1 will do wonders for that (and that will be most valuable purchase for you in the future).
If you got 300$ why don't you get POD Studio UX1 + This wah ( http://www.guitarcenter.com/Dunlop-Crybaby...070-i1124402.gc ) ? -------------------- For GMC support please email support (at) guitarmasterclass.net
