If you don't have a POD, it's a great purchase, very versatile

I would go with either the guitar or POD, all depends on what you need/want right now. Also, I believe the Pod GX is cheaper if you didn't need the mic input.

Well go to MusiciansFriend, they have 15% off about everything today and tomorrow. At least that comes up when I go to the site.

It is the same company as GuitarCenter, owned by the same people.

Edit: sorry, only 5% at that price level.

You might try AmericanMusical as well. They ship out of Nevada I think, so maybe you can avoid tax. There two sister companies to them. You want to find the one that is not in California. I like MusiciansFriend because they are in Kansas City Missouri, and I am in Kansas, so no sales tax. But they are 10 miles away, so I get it shipped the next day.

Definitly I would go for the POD if you don't own one

Your fender strat that you already own is almost certainly better than the squire.
Your wah that you already own is great.
Your equipment list in your signature doesn't list a studio device similar to the POD.

Sounds to me like the POD will be the most bang for your buck, and it won't consume the entire $300 budget. Seems like an easy choice to me.

I agree smile.gif

If you need a recording interface pod studios are great. as mentioned above GX is even cheaper with the same audio quality, only difference is the amount of inputs, which don't matter if you only intended to record your guitar and no voice.

If you are unsure maybe you should keep saving til you find something you really drool for though wink.gif

i would keep saving for something else, or, i would get an audio interface for your pc and guitar rig, i think that's a better investment than the pod smile.gif

If you can't record , POD Studio UX1 will do wonders for that (and that will be most valuable purchase for you in the future).

If you got 300$ why don't you get POD Studio UX1 + This wah ( http://www.guitarcenter.com/Dunlop-Crybaby...070-i1124402.gc ) ? smile.gif
