Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hey guys !

Finally a rec take from me.

This has been on my "to do" list for ages...

It's not quite drop c but drop d# tongue.gif

And I had so much trouble in that legato lick. I eventually cheated and played that (13 on b string) note with finger. Sort of hybrid picking...

Cheers

That sounds so tight - well done !

Only slip up to me is that the legato lick goes slightly behind just at the end of it.. but thankfully it doesn't affect the chord that comes after it.

Nothing else to add. The C-Maestro's eagle eyes will let you know if there's anything else biggrin.gif

Hi Vile! This is a very tight take. You go very good with the overall groove and the only thing to improve are the legato licks that you've already marked. It's not a tricky one but the difficulty is in going from rhythm to the lick. Focus on it.

Keep on the good job!

Hey Ville!

As the guys said, this is a very nice take! Tight, balanced and with a great tone wink.gif As for the things that I could spot, indeed, the licks could be improved - the difficulty isn't the lick itself, but the transition from the riffage to the lick. It takes a bit of anticipating in order to shift smoothly and without deploying tension when playing the lick.

That's all I guess, so keep rocking, mate!

Cosmin
