As lefty guitarist (and living at the end of the world) it is quite difficult to get a decent instrument. We have a very limited market.

The thing is that a dude is selling this guitar in USA. It´s a used jackson dinky2 made in Japan

Attached Image

he wants 775usd, that´s not the problem, my big problem is that i have to pay almost a 70% more in order to enter the instrument to my country (a shop will do that).
So i will be paying like 1200 usd for an used guitar.

I was saving money to change my car (which will die soon) but that kind of instrument with that color (which i am absolutely in love with) is not available in here (even jackson stopped their production in 2006 (for lefties models)).

one more thing, If I add 300 usd more i cuold get a new one but only in black...and i don´t like that color

What should i do?

As nice and professional as a Japanese made Jackson is, I'd save for your car. I think a car is a little more important than a guitar.

I feel your pain. If you need a car for WORK or SCHOOL, then yeah, there will be plenty more used Jackson Dinky's on ebay etc. No shortage of those believe me.

If the seller will just check the "GIFT" box on the form when shipping the guitar, the fees are a lot less.

It's a nice guitar, but honestly if you can stand to hold off, you may be able to find a better deal and still be able to have transportation.

As a Jackson/ Charvel nerd I've tried a lot of those "newer" japanese made jacksons , and they all sounded the same.
They have low budget licensed floyd that goes eassily out of tune and pickups (are they S duncan, or duncan designed?) if they're D designed they're just crappo.
I should ckip this guitar For that money(775 $) you can find a Usa Quality built instrument , even older Usa Made Jackson or Charvel SO Cal guitars, Carvin, etc...

That actually sounds a bit expensive for a Jap model, especially when you add your import tax.
Personally I'd consider buying the Black one and then get it re-finished to a Blue Stain!

Without playing it, I can't rate it. sad.gif But as others are saying, it's a cheaper Non US model and you can probably do better on ebay. If you really want a jackson maybe look for a U.S. one. I'd say this one sounds pricey for what it is.
