Thought i would post it up here since it seems to be very good for guitarists.

http://www.play.com/Gadgets/Gadgets/4-/174...ro/Product.html

Its a little gadget which increases finger/wrist/arm muscles (so i presume very good for guitarists as it builds up the key muscles we need in order to play). One of my friends says its brilliant and you can tell the difference right away and is addictive. Also good for stress apparantly?

Anyone ever used or heard of one of these things? looks fairly decent as a warmup excercise !

Cool - could be something suitable for anger managment as well! biggrin.gif

Seriously - I know Lavendell does an arm exercise similar to power ball "squeezing". If I remember it correctly he said it helps alot as he can do it prior to warming up on the guitar.

...or maybe he is just angry! tongue.gif (I'll be ok - he is on vacation now! biggrin.gif )

I'll tell him when he gets back mate. laugh.gif
But it looks like a very good warming up indeed.

I've had one of these for like a year now. They're great fun, and a really good way to warm up. Especially if your hands are always like ice.

Wow! The old Powerball, hey.

I haven't used mine for quite a while.
They are fun & also addictive. tongue.gif

Mine is the "techno" model. It doesn't have the digital readout on top. I don't think it is as fast as the standard ones, but it has 6 LEDs that light up & give you a scrolling readout of your top speed. Very cool! laugh.gif

Of course, because of the motion you use, when you get one all your friends will assume you use it to practice your "self pleasuring" skills! rolleyes.gif

LOL new hahaha i bought one about 6 years ago, they are ok actually but dont lose the chords that starts the giro ball, if you do it´s difficult to start it. But like most excercie equipment, I would just hit the gym once or twice a week, you would see more benefit.

I had one of those like many many years ago, and it was the coolest thing! I think they called it Gyrotwister back then, mine broke unfortunately but it feels in your arms for sure, but you have to take a little time figuring out how to use it. smile.gif

I've tried it, it's a little tricky to start rotating at first, but when you get it going you definitely don't want to quit. Very interesting exercise! smile.gif Recommend it!

Found my old powerball covered in dust and have since started to use it to warm up before playing guitar and I must say it's very effective! Just thought I'd see if anyone else is using it as a warm up and dug up this old thread.

These used to be called DynaBee's. We've been using them for forearm and wrist rehab for 25 years, I bet.
