Not sure if this is the right forum, but it's my best guess so here we go;

I wonder if any you know of any software that can traspose tabs in intervalls?
I know my dear Guitar Pro 5 can transpose in the number of semitones up and down by my choice, but not transpose a given intervall "intelligently" by scales

Say if you have this line on the first string;
Line 1; 13 - 10 - 12 - 13 - 17 - 13 - 15 - 17 - 15 - 12 - 13 - 15
(From D harmonic minor scale)

And I want to transpose it a third up, becoming;
Line 2; 17 - 13 - 15 - 17 - 21 - 17 - 18 - 21 - 18 - 15 - 17 - 18
And by that kept correct "within" the scale (by selecting minor or major third etc)

What I am looking for is a software that I can plug in the first line, select scale (if the software could detect that itself too it'd be awesome tongue.gif ) and then my wanted intevall - and the software produces line 2

So, anyone know a software like this? cool.gif

So a harmonizer smile.gif

From what I have heard, there are very few actually really good harmonizers, and never heard of a VST doing a great job on it.
Eventide is famous for the harmonizers, but I assume you are not planning to spend thousands of dollers on one. So I dont know. But if you search around on google for harmonizer VST, maybye youll find something. I dont have any experience with them. smile.gif
TC-Helicon has a software I believe, but I dont know if its any good. Good luck smile.gif

edit:
ah... tabs. Sorry, I misunderstood. No, I dont know about transposing tablature either..

Nuendo or Cubase have simple and effective transpose function for MIDI. Just import midi, right click on the midi event, choose "transpose", choose how much semitones, choose what scale it is, and it will keep the notes within the scale.
