Hello guys! I had an idea for a forum game that can be funny but also a cool way to discover bands.
The idea is simple, I share a youtube song from an artist/band and the following GMCer has to share a new song that has some connection with the one that I've shared. It can be a similar style, a band that has member in common, or maybe bands from the same town can also work. The idea is to do something similar to what Spotify or lastfm does on its "similar artists" function.
So one example could be:
I share a Led Zeppelin Song, then another student shares a song by Them Crooked Vultures, another one then shares a Foo Fighters song, and then another one shares a song by QOTSA. All this chain has a connection of members... but the connection can be done by style too.
Does it make sense??
Ok, let's start!

I'm lying in a hospital, I'm pinned against the bed. A stethoscope upon my heart, A hand against my head. They're peeling off the bandages. I'm wincing in the light. The nurse is looking anxious, And she's quivering in fright...
I'm looking through Gary Gilmore's eyes.
The doctors are avoiding me. My vision is confused. I listen to my earphones, And I catch the evening news. A murderer's been killed, And he donates his sight to science. I'm locked into a private ward. I realise that I must be...
Looking through Gary Gilmore's eyes.
Looking through Gary Gilmore's eyes.
I smash the light in anger. Push my bed against the door. I close my lids across my eyes, And wish to see no more. The eye receives the messages, And sends them to the brain. No guarantee the stimuli must be perceived the same...
When looking through Gary Gilmore's eyes.
Gary don't need his eyes to see. Gary and his eyes have parted company

Biggest Argentinean Neoclassical Metal band with Doggie White singing:
They recorded two versions of this album, one with their singer in Spanish, and another one in English with Doggie, I wonder which one you like more. Here you have the same song:
Posted by: Phil66 Dec 16 2015, 09:47 PM
I actually like the Spanish version the best Gab, I love the Spanish language, even though I can't understand it very much.
"This Forgotten Town"
Father's gone crazy, he stares out the window all day Watching the same streets where once as a kid he would play There's no hope in his eyes any more He's forgotten what he was hoping for And the postman walks straight past the door There's no news today
Someone save me from this forgotten town Or I'll go crazy in this forgotten town 'Cos when they lay me down, it won't be here
Mother's been drinking, she smokes nearly three packs a day Once she was so pretty, but time's taken it all away Every promise she heard was a lie about the future, how it would be right And I won't understand all my life how she gets through the day
'Cos there's no way out of this forgotten town So you live your life out in this forgotten town The only way is down, when dreams don't come true No not for you, no no
There's no hope in his eyes any more He's forgotten what he was hoping for And the postman walks straight past the door There's no news today
Someone save me from this forgotten town Or I'll go crazy in this forgotten town There's no way out of this forgotten town So you live your life out in this forgotten town Until you're in the ground it's all you can do It's all you can do now No no no
