Hey GMC,

This evening I had the pleasure of watching, for the millionth time I'm sure, Billy Idol's VH1 Storytellers special. I've been a Billy Idol fan since I heard White Wedding back when I was a kid... ya gotta love the 80's smile.gif and this special was just a pleasure to watch this last time as it was the first time. Billy being candid, Steve Stevens doing what he does best and great music. If you haven't seen it I recommend it and here are a couple of highlights

Not all the songs are done acoustically but there is just something about those two songs on the acoustic that I LOVE!!!

EDIT: some strong language in the second video.

Steve Stevens is just a very cool player. I thought that way back in the old days as well. Not spectacular, kind of under the radar as a player compared to others but just cool.

Very Rocken share Rokchik! tongue.gif

These were very refreshing to listen to. I love these songs almost better done acoustic like this. It's enteresting to me that he choose a nylon string classical axe for the Rebel Yell video (I might not of thought of that) but it sounded great and fit perfect!

Good find smile.gif

"Think of a guitar solo as a paragraph. You need a clear beginning, a middle, and an end. Look at musical phrases like sentences, and make sure you break them up using punctuation—or space. You pause naturally when conversing, right? If you don't, you'll bore the listener. The same thing will happen with your audience if your solo is one dimensional. You'll wear them out and lose their attention." —Tom Principato

Blame Kahill, he got me started on literal videos yesterday. Found some good ones, but nothing yet to top his "Total Eclipse of the Heart" literal video. I will find that post and bump it.

Devil's Playground was fantastic. I was surprised when it didn't get better reviews. And yes Billy is very talented, and unfortunately one of those guys who people sort of gave up on. For me he never gets old smile.gif He's forever on my iPod!!!

I'm glad you guys liked the videos. I was happy to share smile.gif Like I said the VH1 special was great and certainly worth a watch if you get the chance. Billy tells some great stories and really interacts with the audience.

@ Emir - you get to hang with the coolest people smile.gif
