GO COSMIN!! That patch sounds KILLER IMHO!!! I"d say keep that patch and use it as a template and try tweaking it from there. Also, perhaps a pinch more gain/level at the input stage would help. You can always use an overdrive pedal with the gain at 0 and the level at 6+ tone about half way. This can drive the input section of the sim harder and make it more punchy.
The ibby RG321 is a fine playing guitar but the pickups are it's weak spot. You can make up for their lack by using the overdrive as mentioned though Also, well said SAMURAI on the SCUFFHAM plugin! It's got a great tube tone and is worth adding to your plugins Also, the PEAVEY REVALVER is KILLER for high gain 5150 tones. Try them both! Todd Hi Cosmin thanks a lot. I just bought a Ibanez RG321 of ebay and got it set up on drop C. Here is a little play about with your patch https://soundcloud.com/sean-agnew-1990/drop-c Hi I am mostly trying to get the tone close to the lessons I am working on it at GMC.So pretty much ranging from nice soft warm tones to full on gain tones. That Peavey Revalver sounds interesting I will check it out cheers As far as I know the ux1 can be used as a stand alone interface so you can use any plugins you like with it Just launch reaper and pick a plugin Im currently using the old pod farm with a ux1, if I were to switch to, say, overloud would I need a new audio interface or can the ux1 still be used?
