Hi David!

I was going through some of my old recordings and I stumbled across this one. I forgot that I did it. It's my attempt at your "finger placement" lesson. There are a few mistakes I need to work on, but I thought I would share it with you. And, I also wish to say thanks for all of your excellent lessons!

You've inspired me to learn a lot of new things and have really helped me out a great deal. You really are a talented musician and I see what is possible through instructors like you. It makes me want to get better!

Thanks again, David! smile.gif

Has anyone ever done it and what was your experience like? I'm thinking of getting a kayak for fishing because it looks like a lot of fun. Any recommendations on size - 10, 12 ft? It will be mostly small lake/pond and river/stream fishing for trout, bass, etc. Solo fishing. smile.gif

Well - this is my 3 year anniversary on GMC. It has been a great ride so far and I have learned a ton of stuff. Since joining I have bought three new guitars and a lot of recording equipment. I don't think I would have done that without all of the inspiration and instruction I have received here.

I've learned so many new techniques like sweeping, vibrato, theory, etc. and I attribute all of it to GMC. I've seen the membership grow at an incredible rate and the lessons are enough for a lifetime.

I want to say thanks to all of the instructors and great members for their help and support. I remember the very first lesson here years ago and seeing all of the instructors come and go. They've all been awesome.

Thank you Kris for everything you have done building this terrific site and helping me to rediscover they joys, challenges and rewards of playing my guitar. I look forward to the future!

Hey everyone,

Got a question about Wii games. I'd like to get a game that I can play with my two sons. Something where we could do three player. My sons are 6 and 8. They already have just about every Mario, starwars and batman game you could think of. So, I want to get something other than that type of game. Not too challenging for them but fun for me to play as well. Any suggestions?

Hey Andrew -

I'm wondering something about bass traps. If I am trying to acoustically treat a wall, how far down should I place the sound absorbers (foam absorbers glued to the wall)? what I mean is, is there a minnimum distance from the floor where they (flat wall absorders) might not be effective anymore and I would use bass traps instead? do bass traps go on the floor in corners or would they be better served in the corners of the ceiling? Any references or good websites that you have found that I can check out? - hope this makes sense.

thanks
