You can use online metronomes, like this one http://www.metronomeonline.com/
Also you have various 'hardware' metronoms, digital and analog.. depending on your wishes and budget How to use it? the metronome shall help you identify and fix inaccuracies in your timing, so you can use it in your daily practice. When practicing without metronome it is very hard to notice errors in timing, so try to play with metronome what you usually play and you may notice the difference -------------------- |

hey guys, ive never used a metronome for anything exept when i used to play piano (long story....) where can i get one, how does it work, how often should i use it, and on what? thanx, eric You can get one in every music store, get the digital one, they are cheap, practical and precise. I use Korg TM40 with a tuner built in and couldn't be happier with it so I recommend it. Metronome works like this: it plays clicks or beats. It is up to you to follow those beats. ON metronome you can adjust the tempo and time signature, like if you wanna 4/4 or maybe 2/4 etc. The first beat clicks differently and the all other beats clicks with different click so you know what beat is the first one in a bar. You should use the metronome for every practice you do on the guitar in order to keep it in tempo and nice and clean. You should practice by first starting slow, and gradually increasing the tempo on the metronome and following the clicks from it. One click on the metronome can be different measures, but usually it's 4/4, so you can practice different note values with it. -------------------- - Ivan's Video Chat Lesson Notes HERE
