You can use online metronomes, like this one http://www.metronomeonline.com/
Also you have various 'hardware' metronoms, digital and analog.. depending on your wishes and budget  How to use it? the metronome shall help you identify and fix inaccuracies in your timing, so you can use it in your daily practice. When practicing without metronome it is very hard to notice errors in timing, so try to play with metronome what you usually play and you may notice the difference

You should use the metronome for every practice you do on the guitar in order to keep it in tempo and nice and clean. Its all you need.
