Hi everyone
For all those classical fans, the Daily Mail (UK) paper is giving away a Nigel Kennady recording playing Vivaldi - The Four Seasons. This guy is an awsome talent, and I love vivaldi !! So If you are a UK resident grab yourself a copy from the newsagents!
regards,
Matt
Would it be legal to upload it somewhere at all if they're giving it away for free anyway?
Just wondering because no-one in my house would ever consider reading the Daily Mail but I quite fancy the cd
Don't think so Owen as the Daily Mail would probably have paid for some form of license that would cover a single end user agreement. Also as a promo the agreement is tied to it being available only if you buy the paper. So a newspaper shop can't just give you a free copy without the rag attached.
Good shout Matt BTW - love Kennedy's version of this Vivaldi, one of my favourite interpretations of it. So much so that we have it on a commercially available full price cd bought about a decade ago! If I remember rightly it won a 'Grammaphone' Gold award when it was released - 'Grammaphone' being the major UK Classical Music magazine.
A bit OT - Now would I buy the Mail to get a free copy? Uumm tough question. If it was The Sun definitely a 'no' . The Sun has a permanent ban in my house; even free copies aren't allowed in after what they said following Hillsborough. The Mail - probably buy it, keep the cd and bin the paper .
Cheers,
Tony
hehe , Im not a mail fan either I threw the paper in the bin myself and kept the awsome CD Am very pleased with it
He is awesome !! I think he performed once here in Belgrade
