Losing My Drive

I want it so bad but I dont know what to practice or how to stick with anything. I think I need a actual guitar teacher. I think I need a mentor to help me with things I dont know. Someone in person. I think if a person wants to learn something, you become mentally driven to do so. I think you either have to find your muse in life or just let it go. But if You are enthusiastic about playing, but just don't know what to do (IMO it is quite rare, as You can easily read what to do to improve for example on our forum), than maybe finding a live teacher can help. So you need to find a better and faster way of motivation. Then I go out and do something else, and I always get the urge to go home and play guitar when I do other things. Thats just it really, I feel like I dont know what to learn so for instance when I try to learn a song I start to think that I might not be ready for it and I freak and quit. Much depends on the way he teaches, I often got unmotivated by teachers more than motivated. But if the person is nice and friendly You forget about "teacher and student" thing, and just make the effort to spend the time with that person in a satisfying way. When talking about being not sure about your skills: 1. learn some easier but good sounding lessons, to build up confidence (besides learning easier lessons gives quite much also IMO) 2. do the opposite, choose a hard lesson and start practicing it slowly, nothing as rewarding as learning something that required rising skill to higher level.
