Well played!! This one has a lot of moving parts to it and you did quite well on it! It's got parts that need muting and parts that don't. It requires good hand synch which you have. You seem to have the piece down. I think you have gotten what you need out of this one and are ready for the next challenge. This one is well within your ability. Maybe pick one just outside your ability to see if you can push through it?

Good job on the Chunking parts and transitioning to the more high string chord bits. Going back and forth can be very tricky. You stick the landing each time which is good. I didn't see any rushing or lagging. I enjoyed the take very much . Solid 8 from me!

Hey there!

This is in fact a cool lesson from Cosmin. He used more compresed, warmer kind of tone but let's say that yours (more "messugish") can do the job as well.

There are 3 main aspects that attratcs instructors attention:

Timing - When you play low rhythm parts,, it's quite descent, but each lick on the top strings makes you go off the beat. It's probably caused by some hesitation while shifting the position or fretting some faster runs.

Hand sync - metioned runs from the top string have some hand sync issues. Like you hit the string before it's well fretted. You need to know these runs for 200% to be able to focus only on the best, possible execution. That's how it works. Otherwise a milisecond of hesitation will casue timing and hand sync to get lost...more or less of course.

Pitch - there are spots where it is definitely something wrong happening with the pitch. Even best technical execution looses half of it's quality when tehrre are pitch issues. when you use drop tuning, you need to be careful to not overdo the strumming or picking. When you hit to hard it goes way too high with the pitch. It's usually worth to tune the dropped string a little lower than "0 cents" just for the sake of strumming that alwasy causes the pitch to go slightly up...especially when the string is loosen a little. At some higher position there is also visible. It sound like a trenmolo bridge fallign when you bend the string but I guess you have a headless guitar, not a tremolo loaded one (the bridge is not clear enough on the video).

From the good things your right hand shaping, resting point and pick grip is descent. your left hand flattened shape and fretting way is also correct. You control noise between strums and that's definitely a pro feature. Just a little more precision needed to make it really dig-in with the backign track.

Great choice mate!

I think that improving your tone and setting your guitar louder in the mix would be a good next step to let you hear all those subtle details that Darius marked in his commented. Cosmin's guitar sound much bigger in the mix, and much more compressed.

Your playing is clean and clear in most of the take, and timing issues are really small. Most of the parts sound consistent here. I have nothing to add here, mate, it's an 8!

I want to add that improving your tone would be a game changer for me. To me this is a flat tone, without bottom end and almost with no cab simulation really audible (probably due to the lack of low end).

I suggest searching for something like this on youtube, and compare with your tone. Even extremer metal guitars need some warmth: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=isolated+metal+guitar

Other than this, there are no major technical issues so I will give you a 7 - keep up the good work!
