Mar 16 2009, 03:38 PM	Instructor Posts: 4.426 Joined: 14-April 08 From: Buenos Aires, Argentina	well man, very very great take! it´s well done, and well balanced. it´s not boring at all, and that´s the most important thing in times of improvizations. really like the lick you used at 01.04 sounds very fresh! and also at 02.57 very cool lick! well overall it´s a great take. from my point of view, you have to work a liitle on bends. but take it easy, you are in the right way the ideas you put in there are cool. so just try tu be a liitle bit more precise. also, there was a few notes out of scale, but, as you was improvizing it´s not that important. for the next one, review all the boxes of the scales you´ll use. hope my comment helps.! This take is far from perfect and listening to it more times make it easy to tell what I need to work on. Precision is definitely key! And Victor, you could easily get your strat to sound like this. The overall result is just fine, the take is nice and interesting. But I think you might want to improve your rhythmic placing, sometimes the notes are not placed in the right part of the beat. Also watch out for the wrong notes, sometimes you arrive to notes that are not from the key of the tune. Your phrasing is cool but I think you have to improve the transitions, that's the most difficult thing in music, when you improvise or compose you have an idea and then how you get to the next idea is really difficult and I think that's one difference that makes a great composer/improviser from a not so good composer/improviser. Those joints are the thing you have to work, how you get to point A to B and then to C without repeating yourself. I hope this helps you Keep the good work! The sound is great as well, nice and fat. The thing that IMO you should work on is timing. Be sure that every note is exactly on time with the backing. However, your bends are off, vibrato is too weak and your timing is bad. I would recommend you to put the backing louder when you record, it's easier to follow time! Also, regarding the vibrato, I would say it should be atleast a semitone wide to sound punching. If you listen closely when you bend, you'll hear when you hit the wanted note in the scale, if the backing and guitar-volume is in decent harmony. Hope this post helps you!
