This vis is a good example of how so much of what comes out of a players actual playing helps define his "Tone". Here is a playthrough vid from Ola using a pretty unimpressive amp. A little, starter, line 6 Spider. It's a fine little amp for what it is mind you. A first amp, starter amp, etc. But it's just not got great bits in it. Cheap speaker, preamp et. And while it doesn't sound amazing at all in this vid. It does show how a good player can make very modest gear sound better.
Those are good tones! I'm checking this amp in some local stores (their websites) and the price is very low! I will start recommending this one to my starter students.
You seem to be the only one impressed with it No other replies yet. I"ve got to start picking more silly topics I think to generate more responses.
But yeah, this is a spiff little cheap amp that would work great for anyone as their first amp. I get students asking me if they should buy a Mesa as their first amp, which is sorta like someone asking if they should buy a Ferrari when they get their learners permit I mean, sure, you could, but it's probably a bit early.
