Everything old is new again smile.gif I never thought I'd see Jackson making Brand New "Crackle" shred machines again. All is well with the Universe. smile.gif

WOW!!! OVERLOUD has finally done what I've been waiting on. Added a Kemper "ish" sampling thing, for grabbing the tone of an entire real world rig (was only a matter of time really) and they've added the BIAS "ish" thing about changing out virtual tubes to change an amps tone. I'm really glad to see this. TH3 was cool, and added the harmonizer and such, but this is a sea change upgrade. Being able to sample any rig and share it easily is a feature that I've been hoping they'd add. Also being ablet to get picky and tweak inside an amp head is nice too.

Yeah the TH-U seems like will be very fun for the users, I bet some will even start selling sampled presets like Kemper wink.gif

Did you check the Hotone processor? There is very few video content but sounded good to me.

I'm hoping to get one of the hotone ampero units after NAMM. Hopefully! Yeah, I can see folks selling rig packs for THU just like they do with kemper. I also noticed the new SATCHEL guitar looks darn spiff. It also has FISHMAN pickups in it as those are the pup of the moment wink.gif

Not entirely NAMM related, but this was the guy I mentioned earlier in the thread. He's the singer of the Danish band Defecto. He went to NAMM, and I think he also had had a talk beforehand with http://www.steinerkrausguitars.com/ to make a custom guitar for him. This is the end product:

I have never been too much a fan of that shape, but for some reason, with that "colour"/wood I think it's okay.

From around the 2:16 mark going into the solo he is an example of perfect technique, in my opinion. Todd will likely enjoy that! smile.gif

I must say I did enjoy that smile.gif Did you guys notice the DOUBLE TAPPING hammer bit? The way it flowed in to a bendy bluesy bit? The smoothness of his transition, the power of his technique, and above all, the soulful nature of his phrasing. Impressive. I gotta say, it almost reminded me, in parts, of something I'd play given that backing track.

The other guitarist of the band has perfect technique as well (vid cap is not even really click bait!). I used to talk to him about 10 years ago, but you know, for one reason or the other we never met or played together, I think. They really have it all imo as a band. Great musicality, great song writing, great technique, great singing, drumming etc.

Here's a song where the other guitarist plays a solo, starts around 4:44. In general they are great at building solos too - the build ups, the breathing space, the not choice and all that... I am starting to sound like a fan boy here. smile.gif

WOW! Yeah he's darn good as well. Can't believe I'd never even heard of these guys. They are playing huge festivals from the looks of it in the vid. Crowd seems to be really in to it as well. I wanna hear a guitar duel/harmony solo from these two!

They are great, indeed! I remember watching some of their first shows around 2011 or 2012 or so, and they were great at that time too even newly hatched as a band!
