I started guitar at 11 and banjo at 12. My favorite Musicians and inspirations are Yngwie and Bela Fleck. As far as practicing goes I am a disabled Vet so it's not the hours in a day it's how motivated I am to practice. I spent 4 to 6 hours a day for 7 weeks to learn that 40 power metal band tune you did and I still have a lot to do.. I know nothing about theory, never had a lesson, but I would like to learn
Finally, yes I can record and post videos. As soon as my other guitars and furniture get to California, I will start attending your video chat lessons. I look forward to working with you and others oh and sorry I mispoke your first name in my video it was before I joined GMC, I learned it from youtube, but I really like they way you breakdown the song for learning here at GMC, and I'll never learn from youtube again now that I have joined GMC.

I usually get up and start practicing around 4 in the morning, it really depends on how motivated I am with whatever I am trying to learn..
I plan on being a great student of yours. I have the most difficulty with sweep arpeggios and that really fast dragonforce bit in the 40 pm song, if you can show me how to overcome these difficulty's I would really be thankful.
and I'm also glad you are willing to try a taylor solidbody, you won't be dissapointed, and will have an instrument that really stands out among the other instructors!! Sorry if it sounds like I'm a taylor rep, I assurre you I am just a player trying to learn from the best!!!!!, and turn people on to new things that I've discovered, Good Luck in your search!!!!

Ok mate, you reallyu have enough time to improve your playing in a short period of time. Let's build a 3 hours routine and you can use the rest of the time to compose, learn songs and so...

this is how the routine would look based on my opinion and your info. If you like it, we can start filling the topics with GMC lessons.

Warming up

HOUR 1

Alternate Picking

Legato

HOUR 2

Sweep Picking

Rhythm

HOUR 3:

Feeling (Vibrato / Bending / Dynamics)

Theory
